HERO was founded as a manufacturer of diaphragm airless paint sprayers to Canada and U.S. markets.
1977
HERO entered into an agreement with "Strastint" of Australia, a manual colourant dispenser manufacturer, to distribute manual colourant dispensers throughout Canada and the U.S. The product was named "Blendorama". This tint dispensing equipment proved to be a good fit with HERO’s customer base.
1986
HERO was sold to a group of investors and taken public.
1988
HERO began development of "piston powered" paint sprayers which still is a technology most commonly used by HERO’s mutual competitors.
1989
HERO became an OEM distributor of HVLP paint sprayers for "Turbinaire".
1992
HERO began to research and develop its own line of colourant dispensers.
1993
Fluid Management acquired "Strastint". Strastint was HERO’s supplier of manual dispensers at the time.
1993
HERO entered into an agreement with "Highland Laboratories" to distribute their line of shakers in Canada.
1994
The first HERO "2000 Series" manual dispenser was produced and sold
1996
HERO entered into the manufacturing of pressure washers.
1997
HERO began to distribute "Ultrablend" shakers in Canada.
1999
HERO entered into a cross-marketing agreement with "M & T Machines" of Ireland, to buy paint shakers and sell manual dispensers into the European Union.
2000
HERO introduces the H2K paint sprayer.
2001
HERO aquired the assets of ABC colorant dispensers
2004
HERO purchased By I.C.T.C Holdings Corporation- owned by Tony Traub
2005
I.C.T.C. Holdings - adds new co-owner - Past president of Corob - Steve Blamer

I.C.T.C. Holdings Corporation - purchased Highland Labratories

HERO moves to Delta B.C., where it accompanies Napier in it's home of 7 years

Highland moves from AshlandMA, to Delta B.C.
